Homeopathic Remedy for Cancer?
Homeopathic remedies have been widely criticized by the mainstream medical and scientific community as lacking any real proven efficacy. In fact, the World Health Organization has issued a public warning against the use of homeopathic remedies to treat serious diseases. On the other hand, proponents of homeopathic remedies champion this more "natural" approach lacking the negative side effects while providing excellent therapeutic results that rival or exceed mainstream medical treatment options. But what does the scientific data say about using a homeopathic remedy to treat one of the most serious diseases: cancer? In one study, a certain homeopathic remedy, Psorinum (6x dosing), along with allopathic and homeopathic supportive treatment, was studied in three cases of pathologically confirmed advanced gallbladder, periampullary, and liver carcinomas. In the three cases, complete tumor response occurred in 1 case and partial tumor response occurred in the other 2 cases. All 3 patients remained alive and maintained a stable quality of life for at least 2 years. In addition, the patients reported no adverse side-effects from Psorinum-6x. You should note the small sample size in this study and the fact that there have not been any extensive clinical trials performed to evaluate Psorinum or any other homeopathic drug in the treatment of cancer. But for those interested in considering alternative cancer treatment options that minimize negative side effects, Psorinum could be an option when used alone, or in conjunction with more "traditional" cancer treatment options. This may be something to consider, research further, or discuss with your doctor.
